Relatório final de estágio curricular em Prática Veterinária, realizado junto ao Hospital Veterinário Vet for Pet (Ribeirão Preto - SP) e ao Setor de Anestesiologia Veterinária da UNESP FMVZ (Botucatu – SP). Caso de Interesse: bloqueio dos nervos Auricular Maior e Auriculotemporal para Ablação Total de Conduto Auditivo em Cão.

Abstract

O presente trabalho tem por objetivo descrever e discutir as atividades desenvolvidas ao longo do estágio curricular em prática veterinária, elemento obrigatório da grade curricular do curso de Medicina Veterinária da Faculdade de Ciências Agrárias e Veterinárias (FCAV) - UNESP, Câmpus de Jaboticabal. O estágio foi realizado sob orientação do Prof. Dr. Carlos Augusto Araújo Valadão e dividido em duas etapas, sendo a primeira etapa do estágio curricular realizada no Hospital Veterinário Vet for Pet, e a segunda etapa ocorreu no setor de Anestesiologia Veterinária da Faculdade de Medicina Veterinária e Zootecnia (FMVZ) – UNESP, Câmpus de Botucatu. Os locais de estágio foram escolhidos com o objetivo de aprofundar os conhecimentos nas áreas de anestesiologia veterinária e intensivismo, vivenciando tanto a rotina de um hospital particular quanto de universidade pública. Também foi objetivo do estágio curricular obrigatório embricar o conhecimento teórico e prático em Medicina Veterinária. Já o presente relato de caso tem por objetivo descrever a técnica de bloqueio dos nervos auricular maior e auriculotemporal para realização de intervenções cirúrgicas como a ablação de conduto auditivo vertical e ablação total de conduto auditivo (TECA), bem como discutir sua efetividade e importância na rotina do médico veterinário anestesiologista.

The present work aims to describe and discuss the activities developed throughout the curricular internship in veterinary practice, a mandatory element of the curriculum of the Veterinary Medicine course at the Faculty of Agricultural and Veterinary Sciences (FCAV) - UNESP, Jaboticabal Campus. The internship was carried out under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Carlos Augusto Araújo Valadão and divided into two stages, the first stage of the curricular internship taking place at the Vet for Pet Veterinary Hospital, and the second stage taking place in the Veterinary Anesthesiology sector of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science (FMVZ) – UNESP, Botucatu Campus. The internship locations were chosen with the aim of deepening knowledge in the areas of veterinary anesthesiology and intensive care, experiencing both the routine of a private hospital and a public university. The objective of the mandatory curricular internship was also to integrate theoretical and practical knowledge in Veterinary Medicine. This case report aims to describe the technique for blocking the greater auricular and auriculotemporal nerves to perform surgical interventions such as vertical ear canal ablation and total ear canal ablation (TECA), as well as discussing its effectiveness and importance in veterinary anesthesiologist routine.
