Resumo
Solid waste management is still a challenge for the implementation of the National Solid Waste Policy in Brazil, as it involves setting parameters among stakeholders to feed industries. Waste pickers and recycling cooperatives take a leading role in the Reverse Logistics process. This paper presents a study of the organizational and financial success of the implementation of the 5S Program in a recycling cooperative in the city of Bauru, SP, Brazil.
