Abstract

The article aimed to understand the forms of coexistence and sociability in the urban environment of the municipality of Pen & aacute;polis-SP in the midst of the social conformation of the frontier of the Avanhandava fields, located in the West of S & atilde;o Paulo, in the years 1910 and 1930. The methodology used was through bibliographic research, that is, the use of sources (original primary written documents) and bibliographic consultation using literature on the researched space and works of authors who provided theoretical support. As a conclusion, we verified the translation of people's experiences of the moment in which they were immersed in the interior of the state of S & atilde;o Paulo: shock, ecstasy and madness. Ultimately, what was possible to perceive, however, is that in this microcosm of human experiences, people, whose nationalities were disparate, took more actions with the perspective of identifying themselves as a social class.
