Kant e o finalismo no opúsculo À paz perpétua

Abstract

A presente Dissertação procura reconstruir e analisar a estrutura argumentativa do opúsculo À Paz Perpétua (1795), de Kant, perscrutando o finalismo que nele possa estar imanente. Para tanto, serão utilizados os textos teóricos do autor, bem como outros estudos que contribuíram para a compreensão dessa temática, tais como os de Volker Gerhardt, Georg Cavallar, Otfried Höffe e Ricardo Ribeiro Terra. O estudo a ser realizado permitirá avaliar se as postulações de Kant sobre o organismo, o mecanismo e o finalismo também concernem ao corpo social, concebendo-o como corpo físico ou organismo, e, a partir dessa possibilidade, se a noção de paz pode ou não ser pensada desde uma perspectiva do reino dos fins na Terra, sendo então concebida por um princípio teleológico que supõe a normatividade das forças sociais em torno do mesmo. Nesse sentido, não teríamos imanente um finalismo permeando a funcionalidade do organismo Terra, no qual, especificamente em seu âmbito social, inscrevem-se povos e Estados? Ao avaliar essa possibilidade, tem-se em mente uma contribuição que destaque a intersecção entre a filosofia teórica e a filosofia política kantianas, a qual exponha o caráter teleológico que permeia a interpretação de Kant a respeito das relações entre os Estados e os povos, nas quais se tem a paz como fim último, porque moral, da humanidade.

This Dissertation seeks to reconstruct and analyze the argumentative structure of Kant's booklet “Toward Perpetual Peace” (1795), looking at the finalism that may be immanent in it. For this, the author's theoretical texts will be used, as well as other studies that have contributed to the understanding of this theme, such as those of Volker Gerhardt, Georg Cavallar, Otfried Höffe and Ricardo Ribeiro Terra. The study to be carried out will make it possible to evaluate whether Kant's postulations about the organism, mechanism and finalism also concern the social body, conceiving it as a physical body or organism, and, from that possibility, whether or not the notion of peace can be thought of from a perspective of the realm of ends on Earth, being then conceived by a teleological principle that supposes the normativity of the social forces around it. In this sense, would we not have an immanent finalism permeating the functionality of the Earth organism, in which, specifically in its social scope, peoples and states are inscribed? In evaluating this possibility, we have in mind a contribution that highlights the intersection between Kantian theoretical philosophy and political philosophy, which exposes the teleological character that permeates Kant's interpretation of the relations between States and peoples, in which peace is the ultimate, because moral, end of humanity.
