A tese buscou compreender, por meio da perspectiva psicanalítica, os atravessamentos diversos existentes diante do exercício da parentalidade na atualidade. Inicialmente, o texto contextualiza o conceito da parentalidade diante de perspectivas psicanalíticas assim como apresenta historicamente o desenvolvimento do conceito por meio de uma revisão bibliográfica de literatura. O objetivo precípuo do trabalho foi investigar experiências dos participantes sobre o exercício da parentalidade na atualidade, para isso utilizou-se questionário semiestruturado com questões abertas relacionadas as experiências parentais, o instrumento metodológico baseou-se em um formulário on-line. Participaram da pesquisa 101 pessoas com idades entre 29 e 60 anos. Os resultados possibilitaram, portanto, a organização de três núcleos temáticos: desafios no investimento psíquico na atualidade; o amor e suas relações com a parentalidade e parentalidade na pandemia. A conclusão demonstrou a experiência parental na atualidade estar atravessada pelo esgotamento, principalmente para a mulher, por definições normativas sobre o que é ser pai e mãe, pelos discursos capitalistas/produtivistas e pela busca de garantias e perfeição. No mais, foi possível observar também o discurso do amor romântico e cristão no exercício da parentalidade e seus desdobramentos.
Abstract (english)
The thesis sought to understand, through the psychoanalytic perspective, the various crossings existing in the exercise of parenthood nowadays. Initially, the text contextualizes the concept of parenthood from a psychoanalytical perspective as well as historically presents the development of the concept through a bibliographic literature review. The main objective of the study was to investigate the participants' experiences about the exercise of parenthood nowadays. To do so, a semi- structured questionnaire with open questions related to parental experiences was used; the methodological instrument was based on an on-line form. Participated in the research 101 people with ages between 29 and 60 years. The results allowed, therefore, the organization of three thematic nuclei: challenges in the psychic investment nowadays; love and its relations with parenting and parenting in the pandemic. The conclusion showed that the parental experience nowadays is crossed by exhaustion, especially for women, by normative definitions about what it is to be a father and a mother, by capitalist/productivist discourses and by the search for guarantees and perfection. Moreover, it was also possible to observe the discourse of romantic and Christian love in the exercise of parenthood and its unfoldings.
