dc.description.abstractAccording to the results of the article “Assessing Public Awareness and Understanding of Dysphagia: A Representative Survey of US Adults”, there is a specific gap in public knowledge regarding dysphagia, its impacts, and the professionals responsible for its treatment. This gap is notable in the healthcare field and corroborates the scarcity of research on this topic. We respectfully advocate for this in this letter, explaining the need for this perspective, both academically and in the creation of public policies.
