Tutorial do software matRad para o planejamento da radioterapia

Abstract

The matRad is an effective software for learning and developing advanced techniques in radiotherapy planning. It was developed by the German Cancer Research Center DKFZ to plan treatments that utilize photons, protons, and carbon ions, and it stands out for calculating dose with inverse planning and presenting treatment plans. The use of this program contributes to the enhancement of clinical outcomes by delivering a more conformal dose to the tumor and reducing side effects. This article describes the steps for obtaining, installing, and using the matRad software. An application in liver cancer treatment is presented to develop a radiotherapy plan, investigating the entire graphical interface.
