Podcast potential: Praia dos Ossos, Ângela Diniz and gender stereotypes

In this study, we analyzed the potential of the podcast “Praia dos Ossos” to deconstruct gender stereotypes and social authoritarianism in Brazilian society. We employ the following methodologies: netnography, bibliographic research, journalistic narrative and content analysis. We demonstrate that “Praia dos Ossos” corroborates the understanding of the production dynamics that characterize radio journalism today, marked by multimedia creations, and allows the deconstruction of gender stereotypes as it presents another narrative about the feminicide of Ângela Diniz, through which gender performances and violence are demystified.
