Resumo

This article aims to understand the impact of black collectives in confront with cases of racism at the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences of Unesp, campus of Franca, making considerations about cases of racism and the institutional measures adopted to respond to them. In this research, quantitative and qualitative methodologies were used,accordingly, thus we considered the reports of students and members from the two black collectives of the college (NUPE And AFROntar), survey of occurrences of racism via anonymous questionnaire, interviews and bibliographic support. From the data collected, it was possible to conclude that black collectives are crucial in the fight against racism in the academic space, in the promotion of policies to combat oppression and foster of black students.
