O objetivo principal do presente artigo corresponde em apresentar o mapa geológico-geotécnico em escala 1:50.000, bem como a caracterização das unidades correspondentes, de uma área, aproximada, de 480 km² na Serra do Mar e na baixada Santista (proximidades dos municípios de Cubatão e Santos, SP). O mapa geológico-geotécnico foi elaborado a partir da união do mapa de unidades de compartimentação do relevo, mapa geológico e das informações obtidas na pesquisa bibliográfica. Neste mapa são apresentadas 15 unidades geológico-geotécnicas, as quais são distribuídas segundo as áreas do Planalto Paulistano (3), a Serrania Costeira (6) e Baixadas Litorâneas (6). The main objective of this paper is to present the geological-geotechnical map in scale 1:50.000, on an area of 480 km² in Serra of the Mar and Baixada Santista (neighborhoods of the cities Cubatão and Santos, SP). The geological-geotechnical map was elaborated with data from the map of homogeneous units of relief, of the geological map and of the information obtained on the bibliographical research. In this map 15 geological-geotechnical units are presented, which are distributed according to areas of the Planalto Paulistano (3), Serrania Costeira (6) and Baixada Litorânea (6).
