Abstract (english)
The Football extension project (PROEXFA) FFC UNESP-Marilia Campus aims to promote the sport and culture of health to stimulate young people to educational continued at the University. The extension project also aims, in addition to strengthening the relationship between the University and the community, something even more audacious that is to identify, assess and research the impact of sports on academic achievement of high school. This is done with local schools through the research data collection for later review the performance of participating students before and after project implementation. The aim is to involve the school, educators and graduate students the areas of education, sociology, philosophy, physical therapy and volunteers Area sport (physical educator and "staff" hired through a partnership with the City Department of Sports and Recreation) that, before such purposes, collaborate for the overall improvement of education.

O projeto de extensão do futebol americano (PROEXFA) UNESP FFC-Campus de Marília tem como propósito promover a prática do esporte e a cultura da saúde, visando estimular os jovens para a continuação educacional na Universidade. O projeto de extensão visa também, além do fortalecimento da relação entre a Universidade e a comunidade, algo ainda mais audacioso que é identificar, aferir e pesquisar os impactos da prática esportiva no rendimento escolar do ensino médio. Isso é feito juntamente com as escolas locais por meio de coletas de dados da pesquisa para, posteriormente, analisar o desempenho dos alunos participantes antes e depois da implementação do projeto. O objetivo é envolver a escola, educadores e graduandos das áreas de pedagogia, sociologia, filosofia, fisioterapia e voluntários da área de esporte (educador físico e “staff” contratados por meio da parceria com a Secretaria Municipal de Esportes e Lazer) que, diante de tais finalidades, colaborem para a melhora geral da educação.
