DISCOURSE AT THE FRONTIERS OF THE SOCIAL: DIFFERENT SIGNIFICANT MATERIALITIES AND LANGUAGE TECHNOLOGIES

Abstract

This article presents the course of the research group The discourse at the frontiers of the social: different signifying materialities and language technologies. In about 20 years, the group has discussed 'the social' in its constitutive differences as a common thread, working on the theme of the resistance of subjects from various symbolic objects. From the perspective of Materialist Discourse Analysis, here we emphasize analyses that spotlight confronting meanings in our society, in coercive practices often normalized as necessary, marked by force relations that do not always show their symbolic violence.
