Estado da arte : vínculos entre o pensamento espacial e raciocínio geográfico

Abstract

Investigar a produção científica existente na Geografia e sua relação com os temas “Raciocínio Geográfico” e “Pensamento Espacial” é o objetivo deste trabalho. Conhecer as discussões teóricas e acadêmicas da ciência de referência com geografia escolar pode contribuir para o aperfeiçoamento da pesquisa e das metodologias de ensino na atualidade. Na perspectiva de uma pesquisa inventariante, foi realizada uma investigação de tipo estado da arte com o recorte temporal de 2011 a 2021 e com a seleção da produção no banco de dados do Catálogo de Teses e Dissertações da CAPES (Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior). Na área da Geografia e da Educação, com os termos “Raciocínio Geográfico” e “Pensamento Espacial”, foi identificado um total de 14 obras. Destas, 11 contaram com a palavra chave “Raciocínio Geográfico”, 6 “pensamento espacial'', sendo que em três obras os termos aparecem de forma concomitante. Para a análise qualitativa e organização dos dados foi empregado o Software Atlas.ti e para elaboração dos mapas o Software Qgis. A maior parte dos trabalhos encontrados são teses de doutorado (66,7%) e, sem seguida, as dissertações de mestrado (33,3%), em sua maioria produzidas no Estado de São Paulo, correspondendo a 85,7%, enquanto Minas Gerais possui 14,3%. Região Sudeste prevaleceu como lócus das pesquisas.

This work aims to investigate the existing scientific production in Geography and its association with the themes "Geographical Reasoning" and "Spatial Thinking", from the theoretical and academic discussions of the reference science with school geography, which aim to contribute to the improvement of research and current teaching methodologies. In the perspective of an inventory research, a state-of-the-art investigation was carried out with the time frame of 2011 to 2021 and with the selection of the production in the database of the Catalogue of Theses and Dissertations of CAPES (Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel). It has been identified a total number of 14 works related to Geography and Education, with the terms "Geographical Reasoning" and "Spatial Thinking", among these 11 were related to the keyword "Geographical Reasoning", and 6 with the keyword "spatial thinking", and in three works the terms have concomitantly appeared. The Atlas.ti software was used for the qualitative analysis and data organization, as well as the Qgis software for the elaboration of the maps. Most of the works surveyed were doctoral theses (66.7%), followed by master's dissertations (33.3%), most of them produced in the State of São Paulo, corresponding to 85.7%, while Minas Gerais contains 14.3%. The Southeast Region has prevailed as the locus of the surveys.
