Memórias de uma nova centralidade: reabilitação do Complexo Ferroviário de Triagem Paulista em Bauru (SP)

Abstract

Em Bauru (SP), a degradação do patrimônio ferroviário industrial se manifesta na desconexão de grandes porções territoriais com a malha urbana e a inexistência de políticas públicas contínuas que promovam a reabilitação patrimonial. O instrumento de tombamento ainda se restringe a região central do município, deixando diversas áreas desassistidas por tempo indeterminado. Esse é o caso do complexo de Triagem, pertencente originalmente à Companhia Paulista de Estradas de Ferro. As potencialidades de rearticulação urbana e das edificações do antigo núcleo ferroviário de Triagem impulsionaram a elaboração desse estudo em três eixos temáticos: o desenvolvimento urbano de Bauru a partir da criação de uma nova centralidade; a reconexão da malha urbana e ocupação de um vazio urbano e a preservação e reabilitação da memórias cultural, arquitetônica, paisagística e urbanística do complexo. Para tanto, foram elaboradas diretrizes - pautadas nos instrumentos legislativos existentes - acompanhadas de uma proposta projetual, a fim de reintegrar e requalificar o Complexo de Triagem Paulista na cidade.

In Bauru (SP), the degradation of the industrial railway heritage is manifested in the disconnection of large territorial portions with the urban network and the lack of continuous public policies that promote patrimonial rehabilitation. The tipping instrument is still restricted to the central region of the municipality, leaving several areas unattended for an indefinite period. This is the case of the screening complex, which originally belonged to Companhia Paulista de Estradas de Ferro. The potential of urban rearticulation and of the buildings of the old Triagem railway nucleus drove the elaboration of this study in three thematic axes: the urban development of Bauru from the creation of a new centrality; the reconnection of the urban fabric and the occupation of an urban void and the preservation and rehabilitation of the complex’s cultural, architectural, landscape and urban memories. For that, guidelines were elaborated - based on the existing legislative instruments - accompanied by a project proposal, in order to reintegrate and requalify the Paulista Screening Complex in the city.
