Kitten’s Box é um projeto que tem como objetivo homenagear os mais de dez anos de carreira no estilo pop da cantora e compositora Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson, a Katy Perry. Considerando a evolução das tecnologias e os serviços de reprodução de músicas online, a venda do álbum físico diminuiu consideravelmente, mas grandes divas continuam vendendo em números muito altos o cd físico. Os fãs e amantes da música gostam de ter o produto em suas mãos, e o maior desafio desse projeto é mostrar o quão presente está o Design na música de diversas formas. Seja nas ilustrações das capas, no design gráfico presente nas impressões e no design do produto que é formado pelo box em si. Unindo diversas áreas do design, o desafio também é alinhar com a personalidade divertida e elegante da cantora, que resulta em um produto lúdico e único. O box foi desenvolvido por um fã, pensando na cantora na posição de cliente que disponibilizaria comercialmente o produto para os fãs, caso aprovado.
Abstract (english)
Kitten’s Box is a project that aims to pay homage to the more than ten years of pop style career of singer and songwriter Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson, aka Katy Perry. Considering the evolution of technologies and online music reproduction services, physical album sales have decreased considerably, but great divas continue to sell physical CDs in very high numbers. Fans and music lovers like to have the product in their hands, and the biggest challenge of this project is to show how Design is present in music in different ways. Be it in the illustrations on the covers, in the graphic design present in the prints and in the design of the product that is made up of the box itself. Uniting different areas of design, the challenge is also to align with the singer's fun and elegant personality, which results in a playful and unique product. The box was developed by a fan, with the singer in mind as a customer who would make the product commercially available to fans, if approved.
