A perspectiva do ensino técnico em música em escolas de nível técnico: Etec de Artes

Abstract

Esta pesquisa procura compreender as características dos cursos técnicos em música, conhecer a história desse tipo de curso, relacionar com a visão popular sobre eles, verificar as exigências burocráticas e os órgãos que atuam na regulamentação. Além disso, do ponto de vista educacional, a pesquisa busca entender que tipo de formação que ele oferece para comparar com outras modalidades de ensino musical e ensino regular e, por fim, conhecer, através de uma pesquisa de campo, o perfil dos alunos que buscam esse tipo de curso. Foi tomada como objeto de estudo a ETEC de Artes, uma instituição de ensino da rede de escolas técnicas do estado de São Paulo, foi feito um levantamento da história da escola, da definição do curso técnico segundo a própria instituição e foi comparado com a definição de outras entidades como o Ministério da Educação (MEC) e Catálogo Nacional de Cursos Técnicos (CNCT). A história do ensino técnico aponta uma forte conexão desta modalidade com o mercado de trabalho, porém, em música, a pesquisa de campo mostrou que o ofício não é o objetivo principal dos alunos, mas sim a formação musical por meio de uma estrutura de curso organizada e de média duração, estrutura esta que cumpre uma importante função sendo na maioria das vezes uma alavanca para a continuação dos estudos.

This research seeks to understand the characteristics of technical courses in music, learn about the history of this type of course, relate it to the popular view about them, verify the bureaucratic requirements and the organizations that act in regulation. Furthermore, from an educational point of view, the research seeks to understand what type of training it offers to compare with other types of musical education and regular education and, finally, to know, through field research, the profile of students who looking for this type of course. ETEC de Artes, an educational institution belonging to the network of technical schools in the state of São Paulo, was taken as the object of study. A survey of the history of the school was carried out, the definition of the technical course according to the institution itself and was compared with the definition from other entities such as the Ministry of Education (MEC) and the National Catalog of Technical Courses (CNCT). The history of technical education points to a strong connection between this modality and the job market, however, in music, field research showed that the profession is not the students' main objective, but rather musical training through a course structure organized and of medium duration, a structure that fulfills an important function, most of the time being as a lever for continuing studies.
