Reflexões decoloniais: a representação da mulher latino-americana nas mídias a partir da análise de imagens

Abstract

Este trabalho vai, através do método exploratório com base em dados qualitativos, refletir sobre a representação das mulheres latinoamericanas nas mídias, com base na revisão bibliográfica de teóricos do pensamento decolonial e análise de videoclipes musicais de Anitta e Shakira. Promovendo uma reflexão sobre como o pensamento colonial influencia a construção da subjetividade das mulheres “latinas” e oferecer uma análise crítica sobre essas imagens criadas e reproduzidas pela indústria cultural. A pesquisa se justifica pela necessidade de compreender o impacto do pensamento colonial na construção e representação da ideia e imagem da mulher latino-americana. Buscando instigar um olhar e pensamento crítico daqueles que são os espectadores, para que assim, eles reconheçam e resistam a estrutura de poder e controle através das imagens sobre este grupo. Logo, a abordagem em cultura visual será uma ferramenta importante apresentada para promover reflexões sobre maneiras de abordar a questão da representação da mulher “latina” em um âmbito prático, uma vez que essas figuras estão constantemente presentes no nosso cotidiano.

This work will, through an exploratory method based on qualitative data, reflect on the representation of Latin American women in the media based on a bibliographical review of decolonial thought theorists and the analysis of music videos by Anitta and Shakira. Promoting a reflection on how colonial thinking influences the construction of the identity of “Latina” women and offering a critical analysis of these images created and reproduced by the cultural industry. The research is justified by the need to understand the impact of colonial thinking on the construction and representation of the idea and image of Latin American women. Seeking to instigate a critical look and thinking in those who are the spectators, so that they recognize and resist the structure of power and control through images under this group. Therefore, the visual culture approach will be an important tool presented to promote reflections on ways to approach the issue of the representation of “Latina” women in a practical context, since these figures are constantly present in our daily lives.
