| dc.description.abstract | Contemporary Portuguese literature concerns literary production from the dissolution of Modernism to modern times. Nosso corpus, the contemporary Portuguese novel Os meu Sentimentos, by Dulce Maria Cardoso, presents a narrator-protagonist Violeta who, drunk and after a car accident, narrates, in reverse order, what could be her last day of life. And, interspersed with this narration, Violeta tells her story: an obese woman rejected in all spheres of her life. We aim to situate the novel in contemporary Portuguese literature. Therefore, we base ourselves on A voz itinerante: ensaio sobre o romance portugues contemporaneo, by Alvaro Cardoso Gomes. | en |
