O trabalho analisa treze das peças produzidas pela equipe dos Centros Populares de Cultura (CPCs) entre os anos de 1960-1964. A análise das peças a partir de suas dramaturgias considera o contexto histórico da produção destas e o profundo diálogo que estas faziam com o contexto político do país. Para auxiliar na análise, utilizamos notícias de jornais que se relacionam com o que é apresentado nas peças, anúncios de apresentações pelo país e críticas publicadas à época sobre as peças.
As contribuições desses artistas ao serem analisadas e consideradas em seu contexto político-social se mostraram valiosas para a arte brasileira, pelo seu espírito vanguardista e revolucionário.
Abstract (english)
This paper analyses thirteen plays produced by the team of the Centros Populares de Cultura (CPCs) from 1960-1964. The analysis of the plays from the dramaturgical point of view considers the historical context of their production and their deep dialog with their country’s political context. To aid with the analysis, we used news from newspapers that relate to what is presented in the plays, published merchandising of the presentations across the country and critics published in the period about the plays. When analysed considering their political-social context it is possible to find out how valuable these artists were to Brazilian art due to their vanguardist and revolutionary spirit.
