This article intended to analyze the set of social representations of country and city among students of the Escola Municipal Agrícola de Rio Claro-SP “Engenheiro Rubens Foot Guimarães” that mostly live in rural areas. Through these representations one can identify elements that currently give meaning to the country and the city.

Neste artigo pretendeu-se analisar o conjunto de representações sociais de campo e cidade entre os alunos da Escola Municipal Agrícola de Rio Claro-SP “Engenheiro Rubens Foot Guimarães” que, em sua maioria, moram na zona rural. Por meio dessas representações pode-se identificar elementos que dão sentido, atualmente, ao campo e à cidade.
