SUBSIDIES FOR ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNING: CASE STUDY OF FRIENDSHIP BALNEARIO BASIN - SAO PAULO

Abstract

This work is related to the inserted undergraduate research in the Research Group on Environmental Management and Socio-Spatial Dynamics (GADIS), the Faculty of Science and Technology, UNESP, Presidente Prudente campus, and is linked to broader projects developed with the support of FAPESP, CNPq and FEHIDRO. Overall, this work contributes to the environmental planning and zoning watershed, so has it contributes to the implementation of public policy for the management of water resources, especially by CBH-PP and City Halls of Presidente Prudente and Alvares Machado. Therefore, we carried out a literature review of theoretical and methodological knowledge in environmental planning, watershed management, water management and landscape geoecology as well as on identifying and analyzing the status of Permanent Preservation Areas (APP) and several environmental laws, among others, as well as an internship abroad which valued the development of this research. The methodology set out methodological concepts which carry up steps Organization, Inventory, Environmental Diagnosis, Prognosis and proposals, including the preparation of thematic maps and synthesis, using the Geographic Information System (GIS), Global Positioning System (GPS), field work, analysis and systematization of data and information.
