Abstract
The Ibitiraquire Mountain Range is the most detached mountain block of Serra do Mar hills of Paraná State. It's origins is not well known, as there are divergences about the role of tectonics and erosion in its evolution history. The Mountain Front Sinuosity establish the relationship between the forces that sculpts mountain ranges that are delimited by faults, and can indicate which phenomena could be more efficient in the evolution of the landscape. In that way, it was obtained the Mountain Front Sinuosity from the east and west limits of the Ibitiraquire Range which indicated a typical result of an active tectonic area. This work discuss the possible reason for these rate in Serra do Mar.
