O presente trabalho tem como objetivo analisar a relação entre a linguagem musical e a linguagem verbal presentes na obra Il Primo Libro di Madrigali di Barbara Strozzi. Para cumprir tal objetivo, foi feito um panorama das tradições dos séculos anteriores ainda presentes na escrita madrigalesca do século XVII e a forma com a qual tais tradições estão em contato com a vanguarda musical do período presente na obra. Também foram feitas transcrições diretamente das edições de época, para melhor compreender a relação entre as diferentes vozes na polifonia. As análises têm como objetivo apresentar possíveis caminhos para a compreensão e interpretação de obras compostas neste período particular de indefinição de padrões composicionais.
Abstract (english)
The present work aims to analyze the relationship between the musical
language and the verbal language present in the work Il Primo Libro di Madrigali by
Barbara Strozzi. For this, an overview of the traditions of previous centuries that are
still present in the madrigal writing of the 17th century, and the way in which such
traditions are in contact with the musical avant-garde of the period present in the
work, was made. Transcriptions were also made directly from the period editions, to
better understand the relationship between the different voices in the polyphony. The
analysis aim to present possible paths for the understanding and for interpreting the
works composed in this particular period, where there is a lack of definition of
compositional standards.
