Resumo
This article deals with the themes of being children of immigrants and being a young Brazilian second-generation immigrant in the United States of America. Transiting on the issues of the identities, bonds and ethnic and social belongings, the paper seeks to reflect on how being children of immigrants and being a Brazilian second-generation immigrant impacts on the social life of these young people within the context of contemporary American society. The article seeks to show that being a second-generation Brazilian immigrant implies being linked to their parental ethnic origin and has a strong connection and feelings of belonging in relation to the society in which they live in, the USA.
