O ligamento cruzado anterior é um ligamento estabilizador do joelho. Sua lesão é comum principalmente em atletas, causando instabilidade. A contusão ocorre, geralmente, devido a movimentos repentinos, mudanças bruscas de direção e torções, que colocam uma pressão exorbitante no joelho. A intervenção cirúrgica é necessária para a reconstrução do ligamento e, consequentemente, retorno às atividades físicas. O tratamento pós-operatório é longo e, por causa disso, há atrofia muscular, principalmente dos membros inferiores que devem permanecer em repouso nos primeiros dias até que comece a fisioterapia. Sendo assim, o presente estudo investigou as melhores formas para que se tenha a menor perda muscular possível após a reconstrução ligamentar
Abstract (english)
The anterior cruciate ligament is a stabilizing ligament of the knee. Its injury is common, especially in athletes, causing instability. The injury usually occurs due to sudden movements, abrupt changes in direction and twisting, which puts excessive pressure on the knee. Surgery is necessary to reconstruct the ligament and, consequently, return to physical activities. Postoperative treatment is long and, because of this, there is muscle atrophy, especially in the lower limbs, which must remain at rest for the first few days until physical therapy begins. Therefore, this study investigated the best ways to have the least possible muscle loss after ligament reconstruction.
