DISTRIBUIÇÃO ESPACIAL VAREJISTA NA AGLOMERAÇÃO URBANA DE LONDRINA - PR

Abstract

Este trabalho prioriza uma abordagem geográfica acerca das relações entre o comércio e as cidades, tendo como objetos de estudo a atividade e os estabelecimentos varejistas espacialmente distribuídos na denominada aglomeração urbana de Londrina - PR, composta pelos municípios de Arapongas, Cambé, Ibiporã, Londrina e Rolândia. Estes municípios foram escolhidos por sua representatividade em suas funções socioeconômicas no interior da região metropolitana oficialmente instituída. Tendo como objetivo compreender como os estabelecimentos varejistas se distribuem pela aglomeração, foi utilizada uma combinação de procedimentos metodológicos que abrangeu mais de uma fonte de dados e informações. Entre elas, o Cadastro Nacional de Endereços para Fins Estatísticos (CNEFE) e a Classificação Nacional de Atividades Econômicas (CNAE), bem como a representação dos resultados foi realizada por meio de produtos cartográficos. De maneira essencial, aferiu-se que a presença dos estabelecimentos varejistas no recorte espacial é marcante, estando concentrados em determinadas áreas, mas também dispersos em um possível processo de descentralização ao longo da aglomeração. Outra frente de análise se originou a partir da diferenciação das atividades varejistas predominantes no recorte. Dessa forma, nesta pesquisa, tem-se uma interação necessária entre discussões conceituais relevantes à temática e o uso de metodologias, quantitativas e qualitativas, que podem auxiliar no movimento de materialização dos elementos pontuados. Pela importância das atividades varejistas no espaço urbano e na reprodução social dos citadinos, entende-se que investigações geográficas que as enfoquem devem ser gradativamente fomentadas, sendo este estudo mais uma contribuição ao arcabouço teórico-metodológico em constituição. This work prioritizes a geographical approach about the relations between commerce and cities, having as study objects the activity and retail establishments spatially distributed in the so-called urban agglomeration of Londrina - PR, composed of the municipalities of Arapongas, Cambé, Ibiporã, Londrina and Rolândia. These municipalities were chosen for their representativeness in their socioeconomic functions within the officially instituted metropolitan region. In order to understand how retail establishments are distributed by agglomeration, a combination of methodological procedures was used that covered more than one source of data and information. Among them, the National Register of Addresses for Statistical Purposes (CNEFE) and the National Classification of Economic Activities (CNAE), as well as the representation of the results was carried out using cartographic products. Essentially, it was verified that the presence of retail establishments in the spatial area is remarkable, being concentrated in certain areas, but also dispersed in a possible process of decentralization throughout the agglomeration. Another front of analysis originated from the differentiation of retail activities prevalent in the area. Thus, in this research, there is a necessary interaction between conceptual discussions relevant to the theme and the use of quantitative and qualitative methodologies, which can assist in the movement of materialization of the elements. Due to the importance of retail activities in the urban space and in the social reproduction of city dwellers, it is understood that geographical investigations that focus on them should be gradually promoted, with this study being another contribution to the theoretical-methodological framework being constituted.
