Abstract
The unserviceable tires do not have more usefulness after some time of use. If these wastes are abandoned in rivers, lakes and land, it can cause the proliferation of vectors and rodents, posing risks to public health. Therefore, it is necessary to identify the irregular disposal areas of unserviceable tires to can be traced the necessary and reasonable measures to reduce the impacts. Thus, this paper aims to identify the irregular disposal of unserviceable tires that occurs in the city of Presidente Prudente - São Paulo - Brazil. The study allowed presenting some proposals to improve the current management of unserviceable tires in order to minimize the risks and composing the guidelines of unserviceable tires management in the municipality.
