Resumo

Violence against women, male distancing from primary health care and discrimination against LGBTQIA+, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual people are expressions of the social construct of gender that pose challenges to professional’s health professionals. who must develop strategies to face these social inequalities in health. The social order based in gender inequality can make it difficult the access to health services and consecutively to increase health inequities. This study aimed to identify, in literature, the factors that contributes for a (re) production of gender inequality within the scope of Primary Health Care. It was made an integrative review, which final sample was composed by 40 articles. The studies evidenced that gender is guided by biologizing precepts which comes from a biomedical model that besides breaking up the health professionals actions, prevents that happens an emancipation socialcutural approach, and therefore it corroborates to naturalization and effectuation of gender inequality in primary health services.
