Abstract
Antibody research against Leptospira spp. and smooth Bucella was performed in Marajoara and Puruca horses from Marajó Island. We used 57 serum samples of horses of both sexes, different ages and no clinical symptoms of disease caused by the agents surveyed. The samples were submitted to the microscopic agglutination test (MAT) for Leptospira spp. Research and rapid agglutination test with buffered acidified plate antigen (BAPA) for Brucella spp. Research of 57 sera evaluated 49.1% (28/57) were Serum reagents for one or more serovaris, presenting four coagglutinations. The serogroups most frequently found in the present study were Grippotyphosa, Djasiman, Serjoe, Icterohaemorrhagiae, Shermani and Cynopteri, with bonds between 100 and 3200. No animal was reactive in the investigation of Agglutinins against Brucellosis. It was concluded that the target animals were exposed to Leptospira spp., but did not demonstrate serologically infected by Brucella.
