dc.description.abstractWe present theoretical integral and differential cross sections for transitions produced by electron collision with an excited H-2 molecule (c(3)II(u), and a(3)Sigma(g)((+))) obtained with the Schwinger multichannel method in a four-state approximation. We also present the transition rates obtained with these cross sections. The results indicate the importance of these scattering processes in modeling H-2 discharge. [S1050-2947(98)02210-0].en
