Ozonioterapia no tratamento do fibro edema gelóide em mulheres jovens

Abstract

Aproximadamente 95% das mulheres são acometidas por fibro edema gelóide (FEG) e isso interfere negativamente na sua autoestima e imagem corporal. Entre as diversas modalidades de tratamento, atualmente a ozonioterapia tem ganhado espaço na dermato funcional devido seu efeito vasodilatador, antioxidante e por estimular a lipólise, atuando diretamente nas causas da formação do FEG. O objetivo deste estudo foi analisar o efeito de dez sessões de ozonioterapia no aspecto do FEG na região glútea e sua influência na qualidade de vida de mulheres jovens. Participaram deste estudo 30 mulheres, com idade entre 20-35 anos. Inicialmente foi realizada anamnese, exame físico com registro fotográfico da área a ser tratada e aplicação de questionário. Posteriormente, foi dado início ao tratamento com gás ozônio, no qual foi feito injeção subcutânea de 5mcg/ml de gás ozônio na região glútea. Foram realizadas 10 sessões, duas vezes por semana, totalizando 5 semanas. Após 10 sessões, as voluntárias foram reavaliadas. A análise estatística mostrou redução significativa do grau de FEG e melhora da qualidade de vida das voluntárias. Conclui-se que 10 sessões de ozonioterapia são eficazes para o tratamento do FEG, trazendo melhoras tanto no aspecto físico quanto emocional.

Approximately 95% of women are affected by fibro edema geloid (FEG) and this negatively interferes with their self-esteem and body image. Among the various treatment modalities, currently ozone therapy has gained ground in functional dermatology due to its vasodilating and antioxidant effects, as well as for stimulating lipolysis, acting directly on the causes of FEG formation. The aim of this study was to analyze the effect of ten ozone therapy sessions on the aspect of the FEG in the gluteal region and its influence on the quality of life of young women. Thirty women, aged between 20-35 years, participated in this study. Initially, anamnesis, physical examination with photographic record of the area to be treated and a questionnaire was administered. Subsequently, treatment with ozone gas was started, in which a subcutaneous injection of 5mcg/ml of ozone gas was made in the gluteal region. Ten sessions were held, twice a week, totaling 5 weeks. After 10 sessions, the volunteers were re-evaluated. Statistical analysis showed a significant reduction in the degree of FEG and an improvement in the quality of life of the volunteers. It is concluded that 10 sessions of ozone therapy are effective for the treatment of FEG, bringing improvements in both the physical and emotional aspects.
