PSYCHOANALYSIS IN PUBLIC SPACES: LISTENING AND PSYCHOANALYTICAL TRANSMISSION IN THE UNIVERSITY EXTENSION

Abstract

The work presented is the result of two university extension projects carried out by the coordinator and students for vulnerable populations, children, adolescents, users of public services at the Specialized Reference Center for Social Assistance (CREAS) and the Psychosocial Care Center for Children and Adolescents (CAPSi ). The goal is to discuss some of the theoretical and methodological vertices and partial considerations arising from the execution of both in order to propose bases for a psychoanalysis committed to public spaces and to listening to vulnerable and invisible people. The results show how the psychoanalysis of public spaces, carried out in university praxis, helps in the construction of powerful devices for an expanded clinic and in psychoanalysis as a political operator, taking into account complex phenomena of social reality. By providing hospitality and free circulation of words and games, it marks the place of the other as a witness to the narrated stories.
