Os invariantes quânticos surgem por volta do final dos anos 1980 com a descoberta do polinômio de Jones e se desenvolveu como uma nova linha de pesquisa em matemática, mais geralmente chamada de Topologia Quântica. De fato, esses invariantes quânticos são invariantes topológicos de grande relevância no estudo da topologia algébrica. O objetivo desse trabalho é estudar os invariantes quânticos que permitam uma completa classificação dos nós, além da introdução de alguns conceitos como os de álgebras de Lie, álgebras de Hopf e de teorias topológicas de campos quânticos (TQFT), com o intuito de preparar um estudo mais aprofundado nessa área. O trabalho será baseado no pre-print: "A Brief Introduction to Knot Invariants"de Louis Funar, bem como em trabalhos clássicos de TQFT’s por Turaev, como o livro "Quantum Invariants of Knots and 3-Manifolds".
Abstract (english)
Quantum invariants emerged in the late 1980s with the discovery of the Jones polynomial and developed as a new line of research in mathematics, more often called Quantum Topology. In fact, it is a topological invariant, of relevance in the classification in Algebraic Topology. The objective of this work is to study the invariants which allow a complete classification of the knots, as well as the introduction of some concepts such as Lie Algebras, Hopf Algebras and the Topological Quantum Field Theories, with the objective of preparing a more deep study of problems in the area. The work will be based on the pre-print: "A Brief Introduction to Knot Invariants" by Louis Funar, as well as classical works on TQFT’s by Turaev, such as the book "Quantum Invariants of Knots and 3-Manifolds".
