The purpose of this chapter is to provide initial knowledge for who want to begin a journey on the topic sustainability in metal forming processes, presenting general aspects. Initially presents Sustainable Development as a requirement for new economic models, in the sequence, debate the transition of processes toward sustainable manufacturing and present a synthesis of research, academic texts and industrial experiences associated with sustainability in metal forming. Finally, emphasize the potential of ISO Management Systems to enhance metal-forming industries’ sustainability. This chapter does not intend to exhaust the knowledge of the area, a rich and vast subject.en
