Repasse de variações da taxa de câmbio aos preços industriais: Uma análise setorial para a indústria de transformação brasileira no período recente

Abstract

This work aims to estimate the pass-through coefficients for the Brazilian manufacturing prices, using the methodology proposed by McCarthy (1999) and also used by Belaisch (2003) and Nogueira, Mori, Marçal (2012). The coefficients are estimated considering the period from December 2009 to May 2015, covering the period after the 2008 financial crisis. The results indicate incomplete pass-through for all surveyed specific sectors and the manufacturing industry, in line with the empirical studies on the subject.
