dc.description.abstractMicrobial enzymes have an importance due to their wide industrial application as food, textile, paper, green chemistry, pharmaceutical, solvents, and fuel. However, the knowledge about enzymatic catalysis is important before employing these enzymes. This chapter will address some issues regarding enzymatic catalysis of cellulases, hemicellulases such as xylanases and pectinases, amylases, ligninases, and proteases based on the scientific literature.en
