Nos últimos anos, as mídias sociais, redes sociais e aplicativos de mensagens se tornaram os principais canais para as pessoas acessarem e consumirem notícias, devido à rapidez e facilidade de divulgação de informações. No entanto, essas propriedades tornaram esses canais um foco de disseminação de notícias falsas, trazendo impactos negativos para os indivíduos e para a sociedade. Para resolver este problema, nos últimos anos, a utilização de inteligência artificial vem ganhando espaço e obtendo ótimos resultados na classificação de textos. O presente trabalho aborda o assunto de classificação de notícias falsas na língua portuguesa, possuindo o objetivo principal de estudar e avaliar procedimentos de processamento de linguagem natural, juntamente com artifícios de aprendizado de máquina, além de elaborar a criação de novos corpus de notícias falsas e verdadeiras para fomentar pesquisas de detecção automática de notícias falsas em português.
Abstract (english)
Social media, social networks and messaging applications have become the main channels for people to access and consume news, due to the speed and ease of disseminating information. However, these properties made these channels a focus for disseminating false news, bringing negative impacts to individuals and society. To solve this problem, in recent years, the use of artificial intelligence has been gaining ground and obtaining excellent results in text classification. The present work addresses the subject of false news classification in the Portuguese language, with the main objective of studying and evaluating natural language processing procedures, along with machine learning artifices, elaborating the creation of new corpus of true and false news to foster research on automatic false news detection in Portuguese.
