Abstract
Family farming is the basis of social and economic formation in the West of Parana. Most of the properties are managed by the family and the work is done. However, many of these small properties, managed by family farmers, are unable to produce enough to ensure livelihoods for families. Among the various possibilities that are manifested in the rural space in order to supplement income in family production units, we find activities associated with the practice of rural tourism. In this sense, the present work aims to analyze the experience in the property of the Rustich family, from the perspective of Sustainable Rural Development, conceptualizing Pluriativity in Family Agriculture, through the insertion of Rural Tourism in Family Agriculture (TRAF). The property of the Rustich family, is geared towards the production of strawberries organically and the insertion of rural tourism in family farming has been considered one of the great alternatives of employment and income for the family, which through pluriactivity, has been providing besides economic benefits , practices aimed at environmental preservation, offering food free of pesticides and with nutritional value for customers and visitors of the city and region.
