Resumo
Introduction: In the context of an environment with extensive development of information technology, software development services have been developing widely and spreading in different formats, especially the provision of services from company to company, in the processes of outsourcing and fourth-party services. Objective: The aim of this article is to demonstrate the role of information in process mapping, taking as its object the scenario where companies interact with other companies that provide services through outsourcing and outsourcing of their core business. Methodology: A case study was conducted in a work ecosystem involving a contracting company, an outsourced company and fourth-party service providers for the development of software using the Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN). Results: The application of the case study showed how the contracting company interacts with the outsourced companies, demonstrating that the information flows are well structured and do not suffer interference from barriers between the organizations. The BPMN methodology helps to guide the processes and organize the activities, favoring the construction of the project and the achievement of the expected results. Conclusion: The case study showed that the flow of information was very dynamic and organic, with no hierarchical barriers to the flow of information, always carried out in virtual environments, which is also due to the adoption of an agile process management methodology.
