A doação de sangue é um tema recorrente e importante no cotidiano, seja pela divulgação nas mídias, como a televisão e as redes sociais, ou por meio de conversas sobre o assunto com doadores ou profissionais da área. Sendo assim, a escola pode ser uma grande oportunidade para a abordagem e contextualização desse assunto, uma vez que os estudantes compreendem a importância de se ter todos os tipos sanguíneos em um hemocentro, todavia não sabem a causa da incompatibilidade entre os grupos sanguíneos e a origem dessas diferentes classificações. Ademais, o fato de haverem determinados medos, receios e paradigmas pode fazer com que as pessoas não se dirijam até um hemocentro. Assim , o presente trabalho tem como objetivo avaliar o conhecimento e as percepções dos estudantes de ensino médio sobre a temática de doação de sangue e correlacionar essas variáveis com medo, receio e questões equivocadas que eles possam ter. Foi observada a interferência dessas variáveis no interesse de doação pelos respondentes, entretanto não se sabe até que ponto essas variáveis interferem na construção do conhecimento sobre a doação e o que pode ser feito para mudar essa situação, sendo a sala de aula um local importante para se tratar desse assunto e contextualizá-lo com os conteúdos vistos, indo ao encontro com a Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BNCC).

Blood donation is a common and important subject in everyday life, either through the media,
such as television and social networks, or through conversations about the subject with donors
or professionals in the area. Therefore, the school can be a great opportunity to approach and
contextualize this subject, since students understand the importance of having all blood types
in a blood center, however they do not know the cause of the incompatibility between blood
groups and the origin of these different classifications. Furthermore, the fact that there are
certain fears, apprehensions and paradigms can prevent people from going to a blood center.
Thus, the present work aims to evaluate the knowledge and perceptions of high school
students on the subject of blood donation and to correlate these variables with fear,
apprehension and mistaken questions that they may have. The interference of these variables
in the respondents' interest in donating was observed, however it is not known to what extent
these variables interfere in the construction of knowledge about donation and what can be
done to change this situation, with the classroom being an important place for to deal with this
subject and contextualize it with the contents seen, going against the Base Nacional Comum
Curricular (BNCC).
