Resumo
Intertextuality figures the relationship between two or more texts that can be established, in this case, through allusion. Furthermore, the hypertextuality proposed by Genette comes into vogue in this article, since, for us, there is no Madame Bovary without Dom Quixote, novels that make up our research corpus. We aim, therefore, to investigate this case of intertextuality: two (dis)illusioned protagonists whose novels they are part of are founders - Dom Quixote from the modern novel and Madame Bovary from the Realist novel - of a new era in literature, bringing criticism of previous forms - chivalric novels and romanticism novels, respectively. Thus, our theoretical goal is composed by authors Antonio Candido, Gentil de Faria, Gerard Genette, Laurent Jenny, Julia Kristeva, Maria Adelia Menegazzo and Jose Montero Reguera.
