Abstract

From an approximation between the philosophical ontological theory of the formation of for-itself individuality and those from the cultural-historical psychology, this research had for purpose to present theoretical supplies for school education of adolescents. For-itself individuality was presented as the maximum possibility of the individual formation and such process is performed from the dialectical relationship between objectification and appropriation of for-itself general objectivations, in other words, from more elaborated human productions, such as science, arts and philosophy. Adolescence is considered a privileged time of human development for the internalization of such human productions due to the formation of conceptual thinking. We conclude that school education should socialize general for-itself objectivations to contribute decisively to the development of self-control of behavior, self awareness and the formation of a free and universal individuality.
