From the formulation of public policies such as the National Policy on Special Education in the Perspective of Inclusive Education and other documents that guarantee the right to inclusion, there was an increase in the number of students with disabilities in regular school institutions. The insertion of students also results from the struggle of social movements that seek the participation of people with disabilities in environments in which they have already been marginalized. In view of the insertion movement, questions arise about how to organize the educational environment in order it become inclusive. In this sense, the research aimed to investigate the potential that collaborative practices among teachers represent for the teaching of mathematics in an inclusive way. For this, a case study was carried out, where the researcher stayed for one academic year in a regular school, following the work developed between two teachers: an Specialised Educational Assistance (SEA) teacher who worked in the school unit, and a third grade class teacher of the students of regular school. In that class there were two autistic students, and one was attended by the SEA teacher participating in the research. The observations were made during the SEA sessions with the student, in the mathematics classes in the classroom, and in the conversations between the teachers during the conversation between the teachers on the activities plans. The data are composed by the researcher's observations, and by a semi-structured interview conducted with the SEA teacher. The analysis was made based on the theory of collaborative teaching, in which eight elements characteristic of the relationship between teachers based on collaboration. From the data, it was shown how some of the eight elements appeared in the relationship between the two teachers. Furthermore, the data indicated that situations of exclusion occurred during the meetings, which affected autistic students. Some of the situations were related to the concept of microexclusion. To think about exclusions in contexts considered inclusive, concepts such as deficencialism and capacitism were also presented. As for the relationship between teachers, collaborative practices were restricted to a few meetings throughout the school year, and for collaboration to be possible, issues involving school culture, training, organization of spaces and work schedules should be considered. Even in the face of challenges, collaborative practices among teachers can be considered as one of the paths to be taken in the context of an education that seeks to be inclusive.
