Social isolation, a preventive measure adopted to control the COVID-19 pandemic, affected various spheres of society such as the economy, politics and education, highlighting and accentuating how inequalities in Brazil, with closed doors, the school saw the need to reinvent oneself, finding in remote learning an instrument to maintain the teacher-student relationship. When we think of high school students, we are talking about students between 15-18 years of age, a stage of life altered by physical and psychological changes, which in themselves are already stressful factors. Stress is caused by the need to adapt to the circumstance and not the cause of the tension itself. Burnout syndrome, in turn, is an emotional response to hypotheses of chronic stress in situations of working with other people, with a lasting effect of stress linked to work situations, resulting from the constant and repetitive emotional pressure linked to the intense involved with people for long periods. In education, Burnout is a complex and multidimensional phenomenon that concerns not only the classroom or the institutional context, but all factors in this relationship. Occurrence in teachers has been considered a relevant psychosocial phenomenon because it affects not only the teacher, but the entire educational environment, since professionals affected by the syndrome develop a process of alienation, dehumanization and apathy. In our work, we found that six high school students from Escola Deputado Bady Bassit fell into the syndrome, most of them in the final years of high school and that 18 students were exhausted, 19 were described and 15 feel inadequate as a student, the majority being women. as for teachers and administrators, there was no burnout condition, however the answers regarding the psychic exhaustion may be indicative that, in the future, the syndrome may be a reality. These results reflect the current moment, in which there is a constant need for adaptation by teachers and students, who share their reality online and in person, in addition to the insecurities regarding health and financial instability caused during the pandemic period. Thus, the didactic material developed aims to clarify the effects of stress on our body and how we can recognize it to prevent it from becoming chronic.
