GERAM: Building sustainable enterprises
Abstract
Governments are more conscious about sustainability requirements and recently enterprises have tried to reach those objectives without neglecting profit. Enterprise Architecture Frameworks can be used to project and integrate all typical aspects of a company, such as its functions, information, resources, and organizational units. However, Enterprise Architectures Frameworks don't contemplate aspects related to sustainability in a systemic and integrated way. This paper proposes guidelines to derive and incorporate sustainability aspects into components of an architecture framework. Then, GERAM is proposed as the basis and reference for developing works for extending aspects of sustainability to modeling and engineering enterprises. © IFAC.
