harmônica, do inglês Third Harmonic Injection PWM (THIPWM).
In the work, a literature review was done about the dynamic model of the three-phase induction motor electric circuit, including basic inverters and some pulse width modulation techniques for speed control. More specifically on the scalar control method and the techniques of sinusoidal PWM and Third Harmonic Injection PWM (THIPWM). The machine model was simulated in MATLAB Simulink software where the motor parameters were collected from a real machine datasheet, providing comparative performance from the manufacturer graphical tests. Next, the studied models, of the machine and the converter with scalar control loop, were also reproduced in the MATLAB Simulink software, where simulations were performed to verify the responses of the control exerted on the motor. Finally, the performance of the motor driven by the inverter was analyzed and compared between the two different studieded PWM modulation techniques.
