Tarot Botânico

O projeto propõe um redesign das cartas do Tarot Rider Waite-Smith. A releitura utiliza as características visuais e as técnicas da Ilustração Botânica, além dos simbolismos esotéricos das plantas selecionadas. Tem como finalidade a substituição dos símbolos originais dos Arcanos Maiores do Tarot e o redesenho gráfico das cartas. Os resultados demonstram que é possível preservar os significados originais mesmo diante da alteração dos símbolos representados. Isso evidencia que diferentes símbolos podem transmitir uma mesma mensagem e que o Design Gráfico é capaz de reconhecê-los e aplicá-los de maneira coerente. As técnicas utilizadas incluíram arte tradicional em aquarela e nanquim, arte digital por meio dos softwares Adobe Photoshop e Adobe Illustrator, além de ferramentas de organização. Ao final, foram redesenhadas as 22 cartas dos Arcanos Maiores, tendo como principal transformação a imagem representativa de cada uma.

The project proposes a redesign of the Rider–Waite–Smith Tarot cards. The reinterpretation uses the visual characteristics and techniques of Botanical Illustration, as well as the esoteric symbolism of the selected plants. Its purpose is the replacement of the original symbols of the Tarot Major Arcana and the graphic redesign of the cards. The results demonstrate that it is possible to preserve the original meanings even when the represented symbols are altered. This shows that different symbols can convey the same message and that Graphic Design is capable of recognizing and applying them in a coherent manner. The techniques used included traditional watercolor and ink art, digital art through the software Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator, as well as organizational tools. In the end, the 22 Major Arcana cards were redesigned, with the main transformation being the representative image of each card.
