TEACHING NARRATIVES IN THE 2020 PANDEMIC: CHALLENGES, LEARNINGS AND SUBJECTIVITIES
(Univ Federal Mato Grosso Sul, 2023-01-01) Sousa Silva Muraro, Juliane de; Gomes, Alberto Albuquerque [UNESP]; Secretaria Educ do Estado Sao Paulo; Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP)
The article is based on a set of excerpts extracted from letters received from teachers of basic education in the state public network of Sao Paulo in the year 2021. Thus, we will present a reflection on the challenges, learning and subjectivities of teachers in the context of the pandemic in 2020. As procedures, we sent a letter to a group of basic education teachers in which we asked them to tell us how they have faced the situation created by the Covid-19 pandemic, which has affected the whole of society, including the school. We asked them to detail the impact of this new normal, feelings derived from it, the actions taken in dealing with this new context and their impressions on how school and state managers have managed such issues. Some of the reports contained in the letters pointed out the following aspects: 1. the surprise and insecurity among the teachers; 2. the resilience and empathy that have characterized the actions of the teachers of this school for the mutual reception and of the parents and students who have been hard hit; 3. several difficulties have been observed in dealing with technological instruments that were not part of the teachers' daily lives; 4. favorable expectations for the outcome of this pandemic and future practices in the school context. We conclude that there were many difficulties faced by teachers when dealing with the teaching and learning process in the context of the pandemic, but these obstacles were overcome, so that the importance of the teaching role and the school as a space for exchanges and diffusion was reaffirmed. of knowledge.

    The city by children's drawings
(Univ Fed Rio De Janeiro, Fac Letras, 2022-09-01) Evangelista, Ariadne de Sousa [UNESP]; Marin, Fatima Aparecida Dias Gomes [UNESP]; Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP)
The focus of this article is the child and the city. The purpose was to identify what the city of Pres-ident Prudente (SP) is like for children, based on their experiences. The qualitative research was based on childhood sociology and childhood geography, outlined by a case study, which involved ten children from a municipal public school. The children made drawings inspired by the phrase: My city is... and made oral considerations about what they illustrated. The common elements in the drawings led to interpretations concerning the collective imagination about the city landscape. The city was conceived mainly as a passing space, with few representations of interactivity and playfulness. From the eyes of the children, it is assessed that interventions are needed so that the spaces of the city favor meetings and play.

Comparative Topographical Description of the Central Nervous System of the Macaw (Ara ararauna) and the Owl (Tyto furcata)
(2022-06-01) de Melo, Luana Félix; Azarias, Felipe Rici; Walther, Maria Eugênia Furtado; de Aquino, Julia Bastos; Rodrigues, Rosangela Felipe [UNESP]; de Melo, Alan Ferraz [UNESP]; Stapait, Helder Telles; Lopes, Edris Queiroz; Rici, Rose Eli Grassi; Universidade de São Paulo (USP); Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie; Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP); Universidade do Oeste Paulista – UNOESTE; Institute of Marine Biology and Environment –IBIMM
The study of animal neurology has historically focused on the closest descendants of humans, such as monkeys and chimpanzees. Because of this, the neurology of birds remains poorly studied and understood by humans compared to other groups of animals. Thus, the objective was to describe the central nervous system to better understand its functioning, correlating the findings with the role it plays in the physiology and biology of birds, comparing species with different behaviors between herbivores and carnivores, filling gaps in the literature serving as subsidy for future research.

This research, of quali-quantitative nature, had the aim of characterizing the phenomenon of bullying in two state public schools of Presidente Prudente-SP through the use of questionnaires applied to two hundred eighty-three students of 5th and 8th grades. It was taken into consideration frequency, gender, most common places and ages of bullying prevalence, students' place of living, effects on the behavior and the feelings of the victim, as well as the opinion of the participants about facing the problem. The questionnaire used was based on studies of Elliot (1992) and Olweus (1991). The results were likely to characterize the dimensions of bullying in the studied reality, what allowed us to confirm its presence in the school environment, requesting more attention from the education professionals concerning the phenomenon.

VISUAL NARRATIVE: READING MEDIATION IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION
(Univ Estadual Paulista-unesp, Fac Ciencias Letras Assis, 2021-10-01) Lorenzet, Fabiana Lazzari; Ramos, Flavia Brocchetto; Souza, Renata Junqueira de [UNESP]; Univ Caxias do Sul UCS; Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP)
With the goal of contributing to the literacy processes of 4-year-old children, this article investigates peculiarities about how children of that age read the visual narrative of Ladrao de galinha by Beatrice Rodriguez. The research has a qualitative and exploratory approach and part of the selection and analysis of an integral part of the Program's Early Childhood Collection National Library of the School (PNBE) 2014, followed by construction and application of a proposal for mediation of reading with children in groups, in order to analyze how they act in the process of construction of sense of visual narratives, from intentionally planned situations of mediation. As a result of the study, we point out contributions from the literary reading of the picture book in the daily school life of pre-school children. We also verify that children, in situations of interaction, help, complement, converge, diverge, express their opinions through speech or other forms of expression. In summary, the book of images proved to be a valuable cultural object that promotes interaction and autonomy.

VESTIGES OF COURTEOUS LOVE AND THE FIGURE OF WOMEN IN ALICE RUIZ'S POETRY: MEDIEVAL RESIDUALS IN THE CLASSROOM
(Univ Sao Paulo, Fac Filosofia Letras & Ciencias Humanas, 2021-09-01) Batista, Marivaldo Omena; Souza, Renata Junqueira de [UNESP]; Univ Fed Paraiba; Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP)
Alice Ruiz's poetics contemplates a critical positioning around love and gender. Indeed, the article seeks to analyze the vestiges of the medieval on the theme of courteous love and women in the poetry of the Curitiba composer. The perception of these contents can enhance debates in the school space about cultural, historical and social issues in a literature that testifies to the condition of women. The studies of the Theory of Residuality, by Pontes (2019), and the relations between literature and history, by Mignolo (2001) favor the reading of the writing of the haikuist. The methodology corresponds to bibliographic and qualitative research, since it seeks to promote the mediation of poetry at school.

CHRONICLES OF SAO PAULO: LOOKING AT THE BRAZILIAN INDIGENOUS YOUNG ADULT LITERATURE
(Centro Univ Uniabeu, 2021-07-01) Alencar Iguma, Andreia de Oliveira; Souza, Renata Junqueira de [UNESP]; Ctr Univ Grande Dourados UNIGRAN; Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP); Univ Fed Paraiba
Brazilian youth literature (LJB) still need studies, since its consolidation as a literary system amounts to just over four decades, so there is a lot of work to be done by specialized literary criticism. Here, it is up to us to analyze the book Chronicles of Sao Paulo: an indigenous look (2010), written by Daniel Munduruku, awarded by the National Foundation for Children and Youth Books - FNLIJ - in the best category for young people. The choice of the corpus unfolds for two reasons: it is the only book of literature written by an indigenous author in a time frame of eighteen years of awarding by the FNLIJ; there is an insignificance of studies within the LJB regarding indigenous production. Therefore, we hope to contribute to the theoretical scope of this dossier by focusing our views on language and identity inside the chosen book.

A cidade e o brincar: análise de espaços públicos de brincar de Assis-SP
(Universidade de São Paulo, 2021-05-07) Meloni, Adaliza; Marin, Fátima Aparecida Dias Gomes [UNESP]; Secretaria da Educação do Estado de São Paulo; Universidade Estadual Paulista (Unesp)
In this article, we present the analysis of public play spaces in the city of Assis-SP, considering their importance for the child. The discussion based on the Geography of Childhood and the Sociology of Childhood involves the relationship that society has with children when defining play spaces in the city. Hearing the children’s voice and recognizing them as subjects who must participate in the organization of the city and who develop spatiality, it was possible to identify the desires and wants in relation to the constitution of play spaces. The children presented as positive points of the play spaces the availability of green areas, the opportunity to make friends and pondered about the need for toys, their maintenance and adequate conditions for cleaning and safety, showing that the Landscapes of Childhood of the city de Assis-SP do not always live up to their expectations.

This study has the objective of investigating the game as a forerunner of values in the school context. The aim of this analysis is the incorporation of values like cooperation, solidarity, mutual respect and perseverance by children. In order to do so, this study is based on the Historic-Cultural Theory and on authors who conceive education according to a globalized view. The qualitative methodology has characteristics of intervention, with qualitative and quantitative actions, in the following stages: diagnostic stage; intervention stage 1; and intervention stage 2. In this process, knowledge produced was treated as a descriptive phenomenon. According to the results, there was a decrease in children's physical and verbal levels of aggression; they used the dialogue more frequently, as they needed to solve conflict situations originated in a playing-game context; there was a higher level of respect for the collective decisions; and reduced discrimination and exclusion attitudes. Based on the results of the research and the theoretical framework, this study leads to the conclusion that the game is a social activity, thus, it is important to understand it as an essential component of playing culture enrichment; the Physical Education teacher must have a wide and deep comprehension about the game and children's development; finally, the usage of games in the educational context can be enriched by the quality and frequency of educator's interventions.

This study refers to bibliographic research, which aimed to identify the orientation in master's and doctoral studies in the field of physics teacher education available in the Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations within the 2012-2017 period. The corpus of analysis consisted of abstracts, with the search conducted for the keywords physics teaching and teacher education, and the theoretical framework was Bakhtinian discourse analysis. Our results indicate that research on physics teacher education prioritizes investigations on initial education. In the field of continuing education, they represent occasional initiatives. We note that researchers address the teacher-interlocutor with authoritarian and prescriptive speeches, pointing at how the work should be done by the latter. However, partnerships for working on reflections about possibilities to overcome particular challenges remain modest.

This article aims to describe and analyze the possible didactic sequences practiced by Mathematics and Natural Sciences teachers at Elementary, Middle and High Schools of Presidente Prudente (SP), in order to identify implicit patterns in these sequences which may reveal the teaching conceptions of these teachers. When 76 Mathematics teachers and 61 Natural Sciences teachers were analyzed, we verified that the predominant action of the teacher is in three parts of the class (beginning, development and assessment). The teacher initiates the content, establishes a sequence, exposes and determines procedures, concludes and assesses it, and the students are supposed to execute the activities. There is a difference between the sequences described in both areas and some peripheral efforts trying to overcome the traditional model of teaching. This issue is discussed taking into consideration the teachers' knowledge about teaching and their pedagogical formation.

This study aimed to compound a trajectory that demonstrates how the figures of the child and the collector find affinities in the Benjaminian philosophy. They share profanity as a behavior in ordering the world’s things, the deviant look at the choice of objects, and a mentality that can compose narratives and narratives with a repertoire of images that approaches the aesthetics of the oneiric world. There is in them a sensible reason that transforms into profane the consecrated world to the capital and, this way, produces a context of radical experiences, because it makes history from the rest of history. It is from this perspective that the child and the collector appropriate objects and situations and profane them by making them work in ways different from those that are officially attributed to them. In this consists the transforming power of profanation that sets new experiences and meanings for life and the context of pedagogical relationships.

MEMORIES AND SPACES: LITERATURE FOR CHILDREN MEDIATING DIFFERENT TIMES
(Fundacao Univ Tocantins, 2020-09-01) Souza, Renata Junqueira de [UNESP]; Quadros, Marta Campos de [UNESP]; Universidade Estadual Paulista (Unesp)
Literary narratives for children can build a rich net of meaning produced in different moments and spaces that compose human experience. Memory has been taken as a space for sharing this experience and narratives are its way of expressing itself. Literary narratives are part of this sharing and interpretation of the human being and, therefore, an element for reflecting on children's education. In this paper, we present the results of projects that include the presence the children's literature book Wilfrid Gordon Mac Donald Partridge (Fox 2012) in the classroom, where we develop reading activities, both in Brazil and Portugal. We take Harvey and Goudvis's (2007) and Girotto and Souza's (2010) ideas as a reference about metacognitive reading strategies. Our goal is to show how - when working with full literary texts - memory mediates diverse times and spaces, articulating literary narrative to the reader's repertoire as part of the comprehension process.

IN SEARCH OF IDENTITY: IS EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION A MAN'S PLACE?
(Univ Estadual Paulista-unesp, Fac Ciencias Letras Assis, 2020-11-01) Rodrigues, Silvia Adriana; Manholer, Estefania; Gomes, Alberto Albuquerque [UNESP]; Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS); Escola Neusa Assad Malta ENAM; Universidade Estadual Paulista (Unesp)
This article, which aims to discuss the male presence in the teaching profession, specifically in the space of Early Childhood Education, was organized with data obtained in a qualitative research, which investigated how different school actors understand the social role of daycare centers and professionals that act on it. In this way, information obtained with a student in the Pedagogy course is brought up for discussion, using reports of the practice. The data, treated in the perspective of the analysis of the Bahtinian discourse, lead us to the statement that male harshness is an element of culture and not of human nature - of the male gender. Thus, it is possible, reasonable and acceptable to men to identify with the teaching work at the daycare center; as well as that they are able to build the necessary skills/knowledge (patience, calm, social tact, sensitivity, etc.) for the proper professional performance with the children of this level of education
