Construção participativa de conhecimentos sobre resíduos no Programa de Coleta Seletiva da Unesp-Bauru: reflexões e ações

Resumo
Na perspectiva de uma educação ambiental que busca a transformação das relações humanas com o ambiente por meio da organização coletiva e da emancipação do indivíduo, desenvolvemos este estudo. Tendo como tema central a problemática dos resíduos, formamos um grupo de pesquisadores, composto por alunos da UNESP-Bauru, com o objetivo de pesquisar e de discutir a problemática no campus, buscar ações a partir do conhecimento gerado, tendo em vista a transformação desta realidade ambiental. Para realizar esta investigação, optamos pela pesquisa-ação por considerá-la uma metodologia que possibilita a construção de um novo saber ambiental por meio do diálogo entre diferentes conhecimentos sobre uma determinada realidade afim de superá-la, convergindo com os objetivos da educação ambiental. Para tanto, a partir da formação de um grupo de alunos, determinados como tema gerador de pesquisa e de ação o Programa de Coleta Seletiva; elaboramos um plano para diagnosticar os resíduos; estudamos as dimensões da problemática; construímos atividades educativas sobre a temática, tendo como embasamento o conhecimento gerado pelo grupo, e avaliamos o processo de pesquisa-ação e educativo pelo qual passamos. Além de construírmos conhecimentos sobre a educação ambiental e os resíduos no campus e elaborarmos ações, o envolvimento na pesquisa-ação mediou a apropriação de conhecimentos sobre esta complexa problemática e, primordialmente, sobre a importância da participação coletiva na busca de reais soluções para as degradações do ambiente, este que compreende o ser humano e suas relações sociais, políticas, culturais e econômicas bem como a dimensão ecológica.
In the perspective of an environmental education that aims the transformation of human relations with the environment through the collective organization and emancipation of the individual, I have developed the masters' dissertation that will be presented in this article. To do so, we have chosen the action-research method because of the possibility of the generation of a new environmental knowledge within it as a result of the dialog between cognizances about a certain reality. A dialog established in order to overcome this particular reality and in doing so, marching towards the objectives of environmental education. As central point we have placed the residues problem and having it in mind me and my supervisors formed a group of students-researches (from the UNESP-Bauru campus). The objective of this group was to generate diagnostics and to discuss the residues problem and from these actions to search for action in order to change the observed reality. To accomplish that we started from the formation of the Group for the studies about residues (GERe) and elected collectively as research generator theme the selective litter collection (for recycling). Beginning with the implementation and public exposure of the recycling program we elaborated a plan of action in order to find out which were the residues found in the particular campus and the connected conceptions of the students about the consumption of plastic cups and A4 paper. With the objective of enhancing our knowledge about the subject in study we studied the amplitude of the problem through discussion generated by articles, pictures and films. We also built educative activities on the theme, having as ground the structural difficulties faced by the recycling program that affected its performance. Then we evaluated the educative and action-research processes which we have been through.
