Introdução: A área da Ciência da Informação possui historicamente uma grande influência de outras áreas como a Filosofia, vendo isso como forma de agregar e romper barreiras para algo novo. Nessa perspectiva, um dos grandes autores que se destacam na interlocução entre a Ciência da Informação e a Filosofia é Aldo Barreto, que no seu texto A Condição da Informação (2002) apresenta uma importante reflexão sobre a Informação, tal relação baseia-se na ideia da filósofa Hannah Arendt em seu livro A Condição Humana (2010). No contexto mencionado a busca da Filosofia como essência é importante, necessária, como elemento constitutivo e contributivo no campo da Ciência da Informação. Não é suficiente apenas se preocupar com a informação, também é necessário um olhar atento para a Ciência da Informação, considerando toda sua complexidade e seu caráter interdisciplinar. Objetivo: A presente tese possui como identificar as relações existentes entre o texto A Condição da Informação de Aldo Barreto e a obra A Condição Humana de Hannah Arendt, analisando as interconexões entre as obras e contribuições para corpus teórico da Ciência da Informação. Metodologia: Trata-se de uma pesquisa de cunho bibliográfico, exploratório e cartográfico, utilizando um delineamento qualitativo. O procedimento metodológico adotado compreende o Método Cartográfico e a pesquisa bibliográfica, buscando apresentar inter-relações entre os autores estudados e seus reflexos no campo teórico da Ciência da Informação. Considerações Finais: a partir da pesquisa realizada foram identificadas as relações existentes entre o texto A Condição da Informação (2002) de Aldo Barreto e a obra A Condição Humana (2010) de Hannah Arendt, apresentando novas perspectivas e reflexões sobre a relação entre informação, sociedade e indivíduo, contribuindo para a promoção da inclusão social, da justiça e da ética na sociedade contemporânea, uma vez que a distribuição desigual do acesso à informação pode aprofundar as injustiças sociais, criando lacunas e exclusões. A partir dos resultados apresentados, comprova-se a tese que de que existem contribuições da obra A Condição Humana de Hannah Arendt por meio do texto A Condição da Informação de Aldo Barreto para a Ciência da Informação.

Introduction: The area of Information Science has historically had a great influence from other areas such as Philosophy, seeing this as a way of adding and breaking barriers to something new. From this perspective, one of the great authors who stand out in the dialogue between Information Science and Philosophy is Aldo Barreto, who in his text " The Information Condition" (2002) presents an important reflection on Information, this relationship is based in the idea of philosopher Hannah Arendt in her book “The Human Condition” (2010). In the aforementioned context, the search for Philosophy as an essence is important, necessary, as a constitutive and contributory element in the field of Information Science. It is not enough to just worry about information, it is also necessary to pay close attention to Information Science, considering all its complexity and interdisciplinary character. Objective: This thesis aims to identify the relationships between the text “The Information Condition” by Aldo Barreto and the work “The Human Condition” by Hannah Arendt, analyzing the interconnections between the works and contributions to the theoretical corpus of Information Science. Methodology: This is a bibliographic, exploratory and cartographic research, using a qualitative design. The methodological procedure adopted comprises the Cartographic Method and bibliographic research, seeking to present interrelationships between the authors studied and their reflections in the theoretical field of Information Science. Final Considerations: from the research carried out, the relationships between the text “The Information Condition” (2002) by Aldo Barreto and the work “The Human Condition” (2010) by Hannah Arendt were identified, presenting new perspectives and reflections on the relationship between information, society and the individual, contributing to the promotion of social inclusion, justice and ethics in contemporary society, since the unequal distribution of access to information can deepen social injustices, creating gaps and exclusions. From the results presented, the thesis is proven that there are contributions from the work “The Human Condition” by Hannah Arendt through the text “The Information Condition” by Aldo Barreto to Information Science.
